The initial floral abstract design was etched onto an 11" wide x 3 1/2" high piece of pine wood using a wood burner. Then Jane used an acrylic paint 'wash' to add lots of bright colors to the piece. The edges are painted spice brown and then sanded lightly to add a bit of distressing. It has been varnished for protection so it comes to you ready to hang on your wall.
